Week 4: Prototype done!

This week was all about wrapping up the prototype. In order to call it finished I had to add one main functionality; the inventory system. This seemed like a very large task, but eventually was managed reasonably quickly. I figured out the basic functionality in an afternoon. I’m certain it can be drastically improved. However, for now it will do. The addition of this functionality means that I have all core functionalities incorporated.

In the evening hours I worked on the design of the world. I made a key visual for the Spider and decided on the first scene that I will try to implement. In the upcoming week the focus will be on staging a Unity Scene with art assets. There are many, many things I still need to figure out when it comes to this part of game development.
